1 pound royal red shrimp, shell on
1 kitchen for for deveining
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup kosher salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups water
3 tablespoons garlic
3 tablespoons chopped Italian parsley
1/4 cup olive oil
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
Devein shrimp using a household kitchen fork.
Warm 1/4 cup of brine water to dissolve dry ingredients. Add remainder of water, making sure it's cold.
Add shrimp to the brine for 30 minutes and remove.
Add shrimp to the marinade for 30 additional minutes.
Oil the hot grill.
Add shrimp directly onto the grill for approximately 30 seconds on each side until golden brown and delicious.
