MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Mobile police say on Saturday, March 19th around 5:50 p.m. what happened near Dauphin Island Parkway and Delta Street put several lives in danger including a child.

"The victim said that as he was traveling on Dauphin Island Parkway a Chevy Tahoe pulled on the side of him and fired multiple rounds into his vehicle," MPD Officer Terence Perkins said.

The victim wasn't injured and he told police he didn't know the shooter, but what's alerting to police is the alleged shooter also had a woman and a child in the car.

Police say after that shooting, the silver Chevy Tahoe pulls into in a parking lot not too far down the street.

You can see a woman get out of the SUV, walk around to the other side and get a little girl out.

They then walk inside the restaurant, where she makes a phone call.

Police say the driver put several lives in danger.

"This is a very dangerous situation and the fact that he fired from a moving vehicle, if the victim would have engaged the subject back you have a female as well as a small child who could have possibly been caught in the crossfire," Perkins said.

After a few minutes the woman and the little girl leave the restaurant.

Police say she's key in identifying the alleged shooter.

"We have a clip of the male in hopes that someone will recognize her and can give us the information to reach her and we can locate the male subject," Perkins added.

If you know this woman or recognize the SUV you're urged to call mobile police at 251-208-7211 or Crimestoppers at 251-208-7000.
