Sea lion pup found in restaurant released into the wild

A sea lion pup that showed up in the booth of a popular San Diego restaurant has been returned to the wild.

"Marina" was extremely malnourished and weighed only 20 pounds when she was found. She was also suffering from an eye injury. After eight weeks of rehabilitation and veterinary care, experts say Marina has gained weight and can forage for food on her own.

Eight other rescued sea lions were returned to the ocean along with Marina.

Seaworld San Diego has rescued more than 300 marine mammals so far this year.
