Local athlete competes after sustaining a serious injury

Meet Sean Collins. He was supposed to become an all American last June until a jump at the Sunbelt Conference Championships that dislocated his ankle. Sean broke the number rule of pole vault, and that's don't land on your feet.

You may think that falling about 18 feet onto a big piece of foam that you're safe. Actually, those spikes in the athletes' shoes can get caught up in the mesh and potentially end an athletes career.

The comeback trail for Sean won't be easy. But nine months later he's already back on the track.

This event requires more than just running. It also requires the courage to get back over the bar.

Sean cleared that bar and his future once again looks bright.
