An $8 million practice facility is in ruins tonight and the reason is still unknown.
July 22, the new Jaguar football practice facility collapsed leaving the metal roofing completely bent out of shape.
Investigations have not begun and officers guarding the collapsed building say no one is allowed to step on the site.
Dr. Keshock, a sports facility professor at South says he doesn't believe answers will come about any time soon.
"Usually when these things happen and you are talking about months when it comes to just finding the problem and moving the materials away and starting a new."
South Alabama's Athletic Director, Joel Erdmann is trying to maintain morale after this major blow.
"It's normal have a degree of disappointment and obviously, questions and I would tell people to be assured that we are going to answer questions at an appropriate pace."
Erdmann says many informal conversations have started but police say no one has been to where the facility once stood.
