No. 15 South Alabama faces Auburn at home

After a sweeping Hartford over the weekend, No. 15 South Alabama will face Auburn for a mid-week matchup at Stanky Field on Tuesday.

The Auburn Tigers are on an eight-game win streak, already beating Sun Belt Conference members Troy (6-5) and Georgia State (3-2) last week before sweeping Bryant at home. The Jaguars have only lost one game this season on the road to No. 17 Indiana.

The Jags are no strangers to the Tigers with an all-time 50-24 record against the SEC school. Last season, South Alabama pummeled Auburn 14-3 on the Plains. The Jags have won the previous three contests, with the last loss against the Tigers back in 2014.

South Alabama moved up three spots to No. 15 in this week’s D1Baseball Top 25 poll and remained at No. 21 in the Baseball America Poll. Auburn is ranked No. 25 in the Baseball America Poll, but not ranked in the D1Baseball Top 25.

First pitch will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Stanky Field.
