Spanish Fort at Daphne

Spanish Fort (0-1) and Daphne (1-0) open up 6A Region 1 play at Jubilee Stadium on Friday night in what has been one of the biggest rivalries on the Eastern Shore since the opening of Spanish Fort High School in 2005.

This year, the Daphne Trojans enter the contest as the favorite coming off of a 3-0 win against Davidson, and the Trojans hope to see their success continue under senior quarterback Chance Newman who wants to see the Trojans walk away with the win in his last game against the Toros on Friday night.

Daphne Head Coach Kenny King is in his second year leading the Trojans, and he knows what it will take to come out on top of this Spanish Fort team.

One man for the Toros looking to prevent the Tojans from getting better is senior offensive lineman Grant Betts. Betts explains how he wins at the line of scrimmage every time the ball is snapped.

Toros Head Coach Ben Blackmon recognizes the threat that the Trojans pose to his team and hopes his staff's game plan will prevail on Friday.

Kickoff is set for 7PM at Jubilee Stadium. Who do think will come out on top?
