Officials confirm a search is underway right now for a man who fell off a boat at Cliff's Landing in Bay Minette.
Officials say 30-year-old Brian Rook went missing just after midnight Monday in the Tensaw River after his boat hit a wake from another boat and knocked him overboard.
They are still looking for him at this time.
Officials say Rook had been out fishing with a friend who was on another boat and it was the wake from that friend’s boat that caused him to go overboard.
Officials say Rook's girlfriend was on the boat with him when he went overboard, but could not find him in the dark.
Rook went missing south of Cliff's Landing around the Pipeline area, so officials are asking that all boaters and campers in that area be on the lookout for Brian Rook.
He was last seen wearing a tan button down shirt with a dark blue shirt underneath, blue jeans and white and black Nike shoes.
Officials say Rook is a strong swimmer and so there is a chance that he made it to the shore. At this moment, officials are also conducting a land search in the event he was able to make it out of the water and on to the shore.
Daphne Search and Rescue, North Baldwin Rescue, ALEA and the Coast Guard are all assisting in the search.
