Isolated showers this morning will give way to numerous storms during the afternoon as a weather maker moves through the region. Some of the storms will produce heavy rain, frequent lightning and gusty wind, but on a scale of zero to five, the risk of severe weather is level one.
Timing: The best chance of storms will occur between noon and 4 pm followed by isolated storms between 6 pm and 11 pm.
Rain and thunder will exit the area tonight leaving us dry and less humid this weekend. Temperatures will top-out in the low 80s on Saturday followed by middle 80s on Mother’s Day.
Early next week appears uneventful as warmer weather and higher humidity slowly return to the region.
