A magnitude 2.3 earthquake shook Escambia County, Ala. Tuesday night, the third earthquake in that area in one week.

The United States Geological Survey shows the latest quake was centered just outside Flomaton.

A stronger temblor shook that same area Monday afternoon measured at a magnitude 3.1.

Several people reported feeling that quake although no damage was reported.

The first earthquake in that area in more than a decade was centered just south of Flomaton in Escambia County, Fla. just outside Jay Wednesday night. That was a magnitude 2.7 according to the USGS.

NBC 15's Rachael Wilkerson spoke to a geologist about the outbreak of earthquakes and whether a stronger quake could be coming.
