A convicted sex offender arrested again, this time in Baldwin County, was found with children in his home.

Marc Readman faces new charges of rape, sexual torture and sexually abusing a child under the age of 12.

37-year-old Marc Readman is no stranger to law enforcement with multiple arrests in Baldwin County.

In June of 2007 Readman was convicted in Missouri for statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl.

Court documents show he was sentenced to seven years in prison.

By 2014, he was back in Baldwin County accused of not registering his address as required for sex offenders.

More trouble for Readman came in 2016.

The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office says his home on County Road 28 in Summerdale had "no power, no water and other deplorable living conditions."

He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Readman was eventually put on probation.

DHR placed the children into another home, but again this year kids were back in the home. On Thanksgiving Day, sheriff's deputies were at his new Summerdale home on County Road 9.

An investigator told NCB 15 multiple children were found in disgusting conditions, and what's worse, investigators say they found evidence of sex crimes against children.

Readman was arrested.

Tuesday, we called DHR to see why children were in his presence given Readman's criminal history.

We left a message for someone to call us back.

We'll let you know what DHR says once we hear back.

For now, Readman is being held without bond.
