A pair of Mobile's finest took time out of their day to help a midtown family.

The off-duty officers asked if they could repaint a fence that was vandalized after the McGill vs. Murphy high school football game.

According to a Facebook post, the officers refused to take any help or money from the homeowners.

Now the fence is just like new! Read the story that was posted on Facebook by Jimmy and Faith Barber below:

This couple who lives in midtown, had their white picket fence painted with blue paint on the night of the McGill and Murphy game this year. These two officers, on Saturday, McKee and Cormier, were off duty and asked if they could repaint the fence for this couple. They explained how they’ve noticed that the fence had just been painted and how nice they kept their yard. They refused any help or money. Please share so that everyone knows what type of police officers that Mobile has. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to these two who took time out of their off day to help when they didn’t have to!
