On Friday, March 15, 2019 at approximately 9:21 p.m., police responded to the 500 block of Dauphin Island Parkway in reference to multiple shots fired and possibly one down.

Upon arrival, officers found a 27-year-old male and 38-year-old male with gunshot wounds. There were transported to the hospital where both died as a result of their injuries.

Three other people, 39-year-old male, 38-year-old male and a 17-year-old male suffered from gunshots wounds showed up at hospitals.

The incidents of these assaults are related to the investigation. Through the course of the investigation, 29-year-old Cedrick Williams was found connected to the murders and assaults.

Williams was arrested and booked into Metro Jail on Saturday, March 16, 2019. He was charged with two counts of murder and two counts of assault 2nd degree.

Through the course of the investigation, Jerome Williams was identified as the second suspect in this case.

On Tuesday, March 19, 2019, Williams was located, taken into custody and transported to Metro Jail without incident.

Authorities confirm the shootings were over $40 in a dice game.

Williams is charged with 2 counts of Murder , Shooting into an Occupied Building, Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle, and Assault 2nd (2 Counts).

The victims have been identified as 27-year-old Carlos Cunningham and 38-year-old Willecius Moffett.
