A local credit union is handing out interest free loans to those impacted by the government shut down.
Avadian Credit Union says its offering zero-interest loans for 60-days to federal employees impacted by the shutdown with no maximum limit.
The credit union is even offering a 30-day extension if the shut down continues.
Another option for those needing help here in the state: the Alabama Department of Labor is offering a minimum of $46 a week to a maximum of $265 a week.
Furloughed workers will likely get back pay during the government shutdown.
The senate passed the bill Thursday.
Majority leader Mitch McConnell said President Trump does plan on signing it into law.
The house must approve it first.
