On the Federal Elections Commission website, Jeff Sessions is the only listed candidate in the 2020 Alabama Senate Race.

Immediately following the 2014 election, Sessions filed a statement of candidacy for the 2020 election, anticipating a run for re-election.

There are no other candidates listed as running, including current office holder Doug Jones.

While this is not official confirmation that Mr. Sessions is running, speculation has been rampant since he was forced to submit his resignation on Wednesday.

The Friends of Jeff Sessions has a current total of $2,489,916 in his campaign fund.

Doug Jones, though he hasn't officially filed yet, currently has $2,167,365.42 in his 2020 campaign fund.

Bradley Byrne's campaign fund total is currently $1,108,654.28, though he also has not yet officially registered as a candidate.
