UPDATE: Mobile Fire-Rescue has announced Quinn Parrish will not be the only person to be recognized for heroism during Wednesday's apartment fire.

MFRD says Parrish and two others were responsible for ensuring more than 20 people, including small children, safely escaped the fire.

A special announcement will be made Tuesday with the City Council, MFRD says.

The man who bravely pulled a woman from a burning apartment building in Mobile this week will be recognized for his actions by the city.

That's according to a tweet by Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson.

Quinn Parrish was able to save a woman at Serenity Apartments after the building went up in flames Wednesday, May 20.

Stimpson tweeted Saturday, "Great story! Stay tuned for a special recognition of this citizen hero coming Tuesday."
