Food stamps across the state of Alabama are seeing a decline since the work-requirement was reinstated.
The Department of Human Resources says that if you are between the ages of 18-49, you must work at least 20 hours a week to qualify for food stamps.
Because of this requirement, the number of people on assistance is dropping.
According to the Department of Human Resources there was a decline in Mobile County of three percent.
A steady decline over the next three years is expected.
