UPDATE: 911 landline services restored in Gulf Breeze and on Pensacola Beach

7:10 A.M. UPDATE: 911 landline service have been restored in Gulf Breeze and on Pensacola Beach.


PREVIOUS STORY:

The Escambia County Public Safety department and Santa Rosa Emergency Management are reporting that the 911 service for landline users on Pensacola Beach and in Gulf Breeze proper has been disrupted.

That means people who are trying to call 911 from their house phones will not get through to the emergency personnel they need.

Cell phone service in both cities have not been affected.

If you live in Gulf Breeze proper or on Pensacola Beach and need emergency services, you must call using your cell phone.

If you live in Gulf Breeze proper and need emergency service but do not have access to a cell phone, you are asked to drive to the Gulf Breeze police station which is located at 311 Fairpoint Drive.

At this time, there is not a timeline as to when landline services will be restored.
