Alabama votes will decide if they'll keep Republican Attorney General Steve Marshall, or turn the office over to Democrat candidate Joe Siegelman, the son of a former Alabama Governor don siegelman.
His comments come on the same day an eye-opening article appeared on al.Com.
The article quotes the attorney for former Alabama Chief Justice and Republican icon Roy Moore, Melissa Isaak.
Isaak at odds with how Republican Steve Marshall financed his last campaign against former Attorney General Troy King - so much so that she plans to cross party lines and vote for Siegelman!
"I tell you, I've been overwhelmed by the support I've received from republicans who want someone who is honest with integrity and want independence in this office,” said Siegelman. “and, I'll tell you, I had a Republican state executive committee member resign from the Republican state committee to endorse me for Attorney General over my opponent.”
Siegelman says his opponent’s former law partner also openly supports the Democrat.
“And I am humbled by all of this support,” he continues. “It highlights the importance of having the right person, having someone of the right character and motivations in this office and i firmly believe that's why I've received so much Republican support."
